Ever since H.O.T.’s Lee Jaewon was discharged from his military duties last March, rumors have risen regarding the popular idol group’s reunion after splitting up in 2001. Recently, Moon Heejun made an appearance on OBS “Kim Goora and Moon Heejun’s Browsing Girl,” where he stated, “We all agreed to reunite following Lee Sooman’s direction, who is the president of SM Entertainment and founder of the group H.O.T in the past, without raising any objection.”
Moon Heejun further explains, “We actually talked about our reunion when Lee Jaewon was discharged from the army and we almost agreed on the timing and the method of reunion, but now it has been postponed due to disagreement over detailed issues. We are still discussing those issues. All the group members want a reunion, but it is difficult to resolve every condition because all five of us belong to different agencies now.”
H.O.T. (Moon Heejun, Tony Ahn, Kangta, Jang Woohyuk, Lee Jaewon) made their debut as a 5-member group in 1996 with their title song “Warrior’s Descendant,” where they experienced great popularity among fans with songs like “Candy” and “Happiness.” Those songs continue to be popular among idols and fans today. In 2001, the group decided to disband and has since then pursued their own solo activities.
Moon Heejun currently resides under Sidus HQ, while Tony Ahn is the CEO of TN E
